Real estate operations, portfolio leadership, and execution.
Over two decades of experience across corporate real estate, property operations, facilities management, transactions, development, and portfolio leadership across the United States and Latin America.
Portfolio Leadership
At DHL, I supported real estate strategy for a portfolio exceeding 100 million square feet across the Americas. This included developing portfolio optimization frameworks that evaluated building conditions, capital requirements, operating performance, labor market dynamics, workforce accessibility, and broader economic trends.

The analysis supported strategic decisions ranging from short- versus long-term lease renewals to lease-versus-own evaluations, helping align real estate investments with long-term business objectives.
More recently, through Maya Consulting Group, I have worked with organizations to improve portfolio performance through operating standardization, vendor consolidation, strategic sourcing, and cost optimization initiatives. The objective is to create consistency across assets, improve visibility into operating expenses, and leverage portfolio scale to reduce costs while maintaining service levels.
Property Operations & Asset Performance
At Hines, I led the operations of a portfolio exceeding 3 million square feet of Class A office properties throughout South Florida. The portfolio included Hines-owned assets, REIT-owned properties, and third-party management assignments for institutional investors. Responsibilities extended beyond traditional property management to include oversight of property management, engineering, leasing, capital planning, construction management, annual business planning, and ownership reporting.

The focus was not only on maintaining high operating standards but also on maximizing asset performance through leasing initiatives, capital investment strategies, tenant retention programs, and the creation of additional revenue opportunities. Working across multiple ownership structures provided valuable experience balancing operational execution with investment objectives, financial performance, and long-term asset value creation.
More recently, at Amkin Real Estate, I supported a diverse portfolio of Class A office, industrial, and retail properties on behalf of a privately held real estate investment firm. A significant portion of my work centered on implementing operating systems, reporting structures, and performance measurement tools designed to manage assets with the discipline, consistency, and transparency typically associated with institutional ownership.
Facilities & Engineering Leadership
During a decade with CBRE, following the acquisition of Trammell Crow's Global Workplace Solutions business, I held leadership roles supporting both American Express and Bank of America. My responsibilities included oversight of facilities operations, engineering, capital projects, workplace services, and mission-critical infrastructure across major corporate campuses throughout South Florida and Latin America.

At American Express, I was responsible for facilities and engineering operations across South Florida, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. A significant focus of the role involved the management of critical building infrastructure, including generators, UPS systems, and data center environments. This included oversight of a fully redundant 20,000-square-foot data center supporting business-critical operations and requiring the highest levels of reliability, risk management, and operational discipline.
At Bank of America, I supported the integration of the Merrill Lynch real estate portfolio throughout Latin America. I personally led the transition, hiring, onboarding, and organizational integration of more than 25 professionals across seven countries, helping establish a consistent operating model while maintaining service continuity throughout the region.
Transactions & Development
Throughout my career, I have been involved in the full lifecycle of real estate transactions and development projects, including lease negotiations, renewals, expansions, site selection, build-to-suit projects, and redevelopment initiatives. While the specific responsibilities varied by organization, the common objective remained the same: align real estate decisions with business requirements, operational needs, and long-term portfolio strategy.

At Hines, I was responsible for overseeing leasing activity across a Class A office portfolio, working alongside both dedicated third-party brokerage teams and as an in-house leasing representative when appropriate. These efforts resulted in nearly one million square feet of completed transactions while supporting occupancy objectives, tenant retention, and asset performance goals. I also partnered closely with the construction team in the development of a 20,000-square-foot CVS Pharmacy, which required the rezoning and replatting of a portion of an existing office property to accommodate the project.
At DHL, I was directly responsible for transaction activity across a portfolio spanning the Americas, including renewals, expansions, consolidations, and new lease agreements totaling nearly ten million square feet. I also partnered with construction teams on the development of three custom build-to-suit facilities across the United States. More recently, at Amkin Real Estate, I supported the development of a 6,000-square-foot high-end Italian restaurant within a retail property located along one of Miami's premier luxury retail corridors.
International Experience
Throughout my career, I have worked extensively across the United States, Latin America, and Canada, supporting real estate operations, portfolio initiatives, facilities management, corporate expansions, and organizational transitions. In addition to direct responsibilities throughout the region, I have collaborated with leadership teams across Latin America, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Germany, developing a practical understanding of the cultural, operational, and organizational differences that influence decision-making and execution.

Mexico has been a particularly significant part of my professional experience for more than two decades through assignments supporting American Express, Bank of America, and DHL. This included operations in Mexico City, Reforma, Tecnopark, and Macrocentro in Querétaro. I also supported Bank of America's expansion initiatives in São Paulo, including growth within the Faria Lima business district, and participated in the opening of a new call center operation in San José, Costa Rica.
Earlier in my career, I supported the startup of manufacturing operations in Québec and Monterrey, working closely with local teams during the launch and stabilization of both facilities. These experiences strengthened my ability to lead across different business cultures, regulatory environments, and organizational structures while maintaining alignment with broader corporate objectives.
